Writer / Director  / Producer - Andy Taylor Smith

Andy is an award winning film and commercials, writer, director, cinematographer and producer. Originally training and working as an artist and photographer, Andy graduated from Falmouth College of Arts in Cornwall, UK with a first class honours degree and a published monograph of his work.

Andy began his career in commercials where he directed and shot several acclaimed campaigns for clients such as VW, Guinness, Oxfam, Variety, The BBC, Patek Phillippe, Audi and Barnardos where his work became synonymous for its visual and lyrical style.

In 2010 he wrote and directed his first film 'This Chair Is Not Me' a blend of documentary and drama and made through the support of the UK Film Council. It went on to win top awards at Silverdocs, LA, Sheffield DocFest and was nominated for best British Film by the UK Film Council and nominated for best film at the Cinema-Eye awards.

This was followed with  'I Can Smell The Cordite' and 'If Himmler Played Guitar', funded by the SDI and Creative England respectively. Both films screened at over 40 festivals worldwide including London Film Festival, Edinburgh, Palm Springs, LA and Silverdocs amongst others.

'80,000 Christmas Lights' was commissioned by Film London for the Dickens bicentenary celebrations, this premiered to critical acclaim at the BFI South Bank and is now part of an exclusive touring package with the British Council, educating communities internationally on the works and themes of Charles Dickens.

In 2015 Andy was selected for the iFeatures development scheme with his surf drama 'Time & Tide'

Andy's latest film project 'Serious Swimmers' is an adaptation of a Michel Faber story, and stars Brian Gleeson (Snow White & The Huntsman) and Kerrie Hayes (The Mill) developed and green-lit through the Collabor8te scheme. It is currently screening at festivals all over the world including Palm Springs Film Festival and the London Film Festival.
Writer / Producer - Benjamin Noble

Benjamin has built a reputation as a writer of visual daring, and psychologically challenging narratives.

Initially training as an actor, Benjamin graduated from LAMDA (recently voted as the Number 1 Acting school in Europe by the Hollywood Reporter) in 2007, which has helped to shape his attention to detail with character and has fine-tuned his ear for natural dialogue.

After submitting his first full-length play ´Buenos Aires`, Benjamin was accepted onto the Royal Court Theatre’s Young Writers Programme; named ‘The most important theatre in Europe’ by the New York Times. After impressing, he was invited to join their renowned Studio Writers Group, which has played home to many of Britain´s most distinguished contemporary writers, including Harold Pinter, Sarah Kane, and Joe Penhall.

Benjamin´s time at the Royal Court Theatre was a definitive one, and he has adopted it´s policy of producing work that ´challenges, both is content and form` in his screenwriting.

His first screenplay ‘The Station Master’ was produced by GentleCap Films, and screened in the ´Programmers pick` section at Palm Springs International Shortfest, the Heartland Film Festival, and San Diego Int Film Festival, amongst others, and won an ‘Award of Excellence’ at the Los Angeles Movie Awards 2013.

His second film ‘The Outside In’ premiered at Palm Springs International Shortfest 2014, and was chosen as an ‘Audience Favourite’ and selected as ‘Best in Fest’. It was also nominated as ´Best British Short` at Leeds Int Film Festival 2014, and screened at the London Short film Festival and San Jose Film Festival. It recently won ´Best Narrative Short` at Las Vegas Lift-off Film Festival.

´Among Sweet Flowers and Shades` was commissioned by Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, and has recently won ´Best Narrative film` at the London lift-off festival and then also won the Lift-off End of Season Awards at Pinewood Studios.

Benjamin has also written an episode of TV drama ´Scar` as a part of an Oslo based writing team at the beginning of 2017, and is working on a new stage play ´The Story of a Stranger`. He has recently been announced as a member of this years BAFTA crew and BFI Network.
